Begin your career in nursing with an MSc in Nursing. This course is specifically for graduates from any field of academic study and caters to those who have not yet decided which route to take (adult or mental health). We have designed this programme so you can change your chosen field at the end of the first semester*.
On successful completion of this course, you will be eligible to register with the NMC and practise as a registered nurse within your chosen field.
This practical and dynamic Mental Health or Adult Nursing degree will enable you to become a critically aware, creative, competent nursing practitioner who practices person-centred care within the local and global community.
This course is split equally between practice and theory, enabling you to gain real-world experience as you put theory to practice in the workplace. With modules deigned with service users and providers, you’ll directly work with patients using problem-based learning approaches. This will prepare you to face challenges holistically as patients may have multiple issues that need addressing.
What’s more, you’ll be a part of a clinical supervision group where you will reflect on and develop your practice. Simulated practice will also be undertaken, which will focus on your development of clinical and communication skills, allowing you to self-reflect and improve as the course progresses. *subject to availability
